Do you see what I mean now, about not losing hope? Do you see what patience and trust gets you in the end? I know you wanted a dresser really bad, Self, and I know you were ready to impulsively purchase a few not-so-perfect options. I know you wanted to get rid of that tiny yellow chest of drawers. I was there when your clothes were spilling out too, you know.
But in the midst of all of that, I kept telling you to hold on. I reminded you that $150 is too much to spend on a used piece of furniture that needed work (especially one that had a used pregnancy test in the top drawer... yes I saw that, don't try to pretend it didn't happen). In the midst of you losing hope and veering towards expensive vintage pieces, I told you to wait for The One. I told you that you would know it was The One when you saw it, and you wouldn't have to convince yourself or anyone else.
And guess what? I was right. That's correct, Self. I told you so.
Look at those great mid-century details.
All this baby needed was a couple of new bolts and some cleaning up, because she's Amish made and she's a good damn piece of work.
Look, she even painted you a picture and gave you a nice little glass to toast to your nifty thrifty find.
I think she could be a great makeup station, don't you? And check out how great this dish looks.
I know she's a little big for your room now, but just imagine how great she will look in a master bedroom some day. Oh, Self. We done good.
Enjoy your new $60 gigantic dresser and mirror. You're welcome.
P.S. You may need some furniture polish, some of those scratches could use some work.
