It's week seven here on Thrift Score Thursday! Welcome to another round of awesomeness. I have been loving hearing from all of you readers about your thrifty finds, both on Instagram and Twitter, as well as in my comments here on the blog! I truly love engaging with you guys every week and I hope you do too.
If you're new here and haven't heard of #thriftscorethursday, here's a little crash course for you. Thrift Score Thursday is a weekly series hosted by myself, Brynne from The Gathered Home, and Trisha D. from Black and White Obsession, where we share thrifty finds via Instagram and Twitter. The finds can be anything we've seen, purchased, passed up, coveted, laughed at, or drooled over. So far we've included treasures from thrift stores, Craigslist, estate sales, and even freebies! If you're a fan of numerically ordered lists, here's a bit more about the rules:
1. Take a photo of something you see or purchased at a thrift store, consignment shop, garage sale, Craigslist, or anywhere else secondhand.
2. Post your photo on Instagram and/or Twitter, any day of the week!
3. On your photo post, include the hashtag #thriftscorethursday.
4. Each Thursday morning, your hosts The Gathered Home and Black and White Obsession and I will share our favorites of the week! This means you should be posting photos throughout the week, so we can gather up our favorites to share on Thursday.
One of my favorite parts about Thrift Score Thursday has been meeting and following new users on Instagram on a regular basis. One of those great people to follow is Sabrina (@futuristichuman) who is constantly posting photos of amazing vintage finds. Recently she tagged this one with our super sweet hashtag, and I immediately fell in love.
Okay, so I need a rattan wingback chair now, please. I'll sit here and wait patiently while it is delivered to me and my brand new dreams come true. No? Hmph. I guess I'll have to thrift one like the rest of the population.
My second favorite #thriftscorethursday post this week is another adorable find from Bailey, who shared her head vase with us a couple weeks ago. This time around she posted a to-die-for-cute ceramic elephant.
What is this little fella's deal, being so cute like that? Is he a cookie jar? He should be a cookie jar. I want him in my kitchen. I think he needs a name.
Speaking of kitchens, my #thriftscorethursday find this week resides in my kitchen, and you may have seen them ages ago when I posted my $100 Kitchen Revival waaaaay back in the beginning stages of this blog. I don't blame you for forgetting.
These flower power canisters were found at a small vintage store in town, and I absolutely loved them when I purchased them. They just scream "vintage mid-century" to me! The colors include the signature chartreuse, green, and brown tones of the 70s.
Best part about these canisters is they happen to be for sale! I still love them, but I am moving soon, and I see my future kitchen taking on a different color and decor scheme. If you're interested, send me a comment with your e-mail address or some way to contact you and I'll give you more details! Or you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll go from there.
Look at that, the first #thriftscorethursday selling advertisement! I see this becoming a thing in the next few weeks as I pack my house up... Heh heh heh.
I'm so looking forward to your next thrifty shares, everyone! Be sure to peruse Brynne and Trisha's favorites this week by clicking on one of the banners below.
