Happy Thursday! We're back for week 15 of #thriftscorethursday, and I can't wait to show you my favorite finds. In case you're new here, let me tell you a little bit about this game we've been playing for almost four months.
First of all, if you've ever seen or purchased something on Craigslist, at a thrift store, garage sale, consignment store, or even your grandma's attic, this game is for you. All you need to do is snap a photo of your discovery, and share it on Instagram or Twitter with our hashtag #thriftscorethursday. You can post a photo any day of the week, because every Thursday I share my favorites, along with my co-hosts Brynne, Trisha, and Dena. We love looking through your thrift scores, so keep on sharing!
First up is Deanna, who shared this snapshot on her Instagram the other day.
This... this looks like my version of heaven. Deanna was shopping for a costume for her weekend gig with Girl Group Chicago, where she's an auxiliary percussionist. [Full disclosure: We went to college and studied percussion together and she's a BFF of mine!] But seriously, look at this haven of vintage clothing and accessories. I would just die to be an auxiliary percussionist in an all-girl 1960s cover band, not only because I'd get to rock out on the cowbell and tambourine, but also because of the CLOTHES. And the HAIRDO. It's a new dream of mine. Thanks for sharing with us, D :)
Sabrina lives in California, so being the Clevelander that I am, I am über jealous of the sunshine in this photo. Here in northeastern Ohio we are in the midst of a rainy Spring. I can't wait until I can go out in the backyard and enjoy the sun and grass! Thanks for this little beam of happiness, Sabrina.
Time for my thrifty find of the week! As you may or may not be aware, I'm in the midst of decorating my bedroom. I finally found a place for this thrifted peg rack, and I finally found a use for it, too!
Just before I moved, I found those fake succulent terrariums at Target on sale for $4 each. I love them and I knew they would be perfect for the wooden pegs. I had to basically pack them up right away (just like I did with the crewel art I thrifted a few days before the move), which was kind of a bummer, but it was fun to be able to unpack them and hang them up at the new place.
I'll be sharing an update on my room very soon, so hopefully this little sneak peek keeps you tied over for now! If you're in need of some more thrifted eye candy, check out my co-hosts' favorites of the week.
